Did you know that 62 percent of Fortune 500 companies have an active corporate Twitter account? Or How many of us knew z' Coke and Starbucks have maximum fan following across Facebook The Infographic from econsultancy shows that 58% have an active corporate Facebook account compared to 62% with an active Twitter account.

Not Suprisingly Coca-Cola has the most number of Facebook ‘likes’ with more than 40m, while Starbucks comes in second with just under 29m. Perhaps surprisingly, this is ahead of those with an active Facebook Page (58 percent)\

 the US Economy continues to look grimmer with time some Fortune 500 Brands firms were pulling back public-facing blogs. In those years, only about 23% of these marketers maintained blogs. This year, in 2013 the number has jumped to 34% (from 28% last year). Researchers noticed that marketers in some industries were far more likely to have blogs: telecommunications (53%), specialty retailers (46%) and food products (33%). While market Conditions might change : Brands need tounderstand that "Social has now become a mainstream media which complements " Traditional Marketing Plans: Being more cost effective, Social Media should be a part of the overall distribution channel
